About the Event

A Boston native who has recently returned to his hometown after 25+ years in the DMV/ Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area, Corey earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and Planning from Howard University and worked for 25+ years with a variety of architectural and building firms with projects Ranging from $400 Thousand to $200 Million; most recently as the Managing Member for Mobius Community Builders LLC. He has focused his firm's interest to workforce and affordable housing developments recognizing the disparity in economic and housing development in Boston and Massachusetts as a whole.

Corey as a believer of service to community he is also The Vice President/ Board Member at W.O.W. (West of Washington Coalition), a volunteer-based neighborhood association in his Dorchester community. He is especially active with W.O.W.’s Norwell Street Park Committee, which is currently focused on bringing a much-needed public park to this urban neighborhood in partnership with the Trust for Public Land, Boston’s Department of Parks and Recreation, the Community Preservation Association and Boston’s Department of Neighborhood Development.  Corey also is a Board Member of Builders of Color Coalition. The Builders of Color Coalition (BCC) convenes minority real estate professionals in Greater Boston’s building sector for the purposes of mutual professional development and leveraged access to development projects. BCC’s membership comprises developers, investors, architects, attorneys, bankers, contractors, and brokers working across a wide range of firms, from family-owned enterprises to multinational companies. BCC hosts educational and networking sessions, compiles a monthly calendar of industry events, and offers members special access to professional development opportunities with partner organizations. With many activities in and around the City, Corey is also Zoning Committee Member of The Greater Mattapan Neighborhood Council (GMNC) where his service to the neighborhoods and communities where he lives in and serves brings great joy.
